Following the decision of Kano State Executive Council to dethrone Emir Muhammad Sanusi II, the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has now appointed Emir of Bichi, Aminu Ado Bayero, to succeed Sanusi.
According to a thenationonlineng report, the dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II was arrested and whisked out of the ancient city amid tight security on Monday.
Before Sanusi was taken away, the governor was said to be under house of arrest in his palace with the DSS, Police and Military surrounding the entire place before he was reportedly taken away.
