A Nigerian company, Dukan George Limited, has unveiled an app-based cab service expected to boost the nation’s intra/intercity trips by providing cabs that will guarantee comfort, security, safety and affordability.

The firm’s Director of Operations, Mr Chinedu Amadi, said at a press conference in Lagos on Monday that the technology called CarXie was developed in Nigeria in collaboration with foreign partners to ensure that the nation remained an active player in today’s technology-driven transport industry.

He said that the app came with features that would make car theft and kidnapping impracticable and had the potential of creating more than 36,000 jobs for drivers across the country.

Amadi said that the CarXie mobile app would be launched in Lagos on July 27, 2018, adding that it would allow a rider to issue their Bank Verification Number as a means of social identification and each vehicle could be automatically tracked with voice chats during a ride.

According to him, CarXie executive programme category is designed to create additional employment for Nigerians by opening CarXie outlets for vehicle and driver registration and inspection, with the benefit of earning commission through their services.
