- Emirates Hosts Nigerian Children
Emirates Airline has hosted Nigerian children to a feast and movie delight at the Ikeja Mall, Lagos, in commemoration of the 2018 Children’s Day celebration.
The airline said it was part of its commitment to children and their well-being.
The children, both boys and girls, were all dressed in the Emirates crew uniform, and took photographs with the airline’s country manager, Afzal Parambil, at different scenes of the programme.
The children alongside their parents and Emirates workers also watched the movie, Sherlock Gnomes.
The airline said in a statement on Tuesday that apart from attending to their parents who went home with gifts, the children went away the Emirates Flywithme pack containing snacks, paper art kit, and books, among other things.
Parambil was quoted to have said the airline took delight in celebrating children whether onboard its flight or anywhere.
He said, “On behalf of Emirates, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our Children’s Day celebration. We can think of no better way to celebrate the special little travellers in our lives than by bringing the joy of movies to life. Whether they are flying with family or alone, we ensure that Emirates’ little travellers have a memorable time flying with us, so that the journey is as enjoyable as your destination.
“Always a great hit with children and families is our award-winning ICE which has over 3,500 channels including 50 Disney Classic movies, a dedicated Marvel channel with movies like Ant Man, Marvel’s The Avengers and Iron Man. Additionally, we have 90 dedicated kids TV channels and around 100 video games for children.
