Osun Workers Excited Over Adeleke’s Readiness To Pay N75,000 Minimum Wage, Endorse Governor For Another Term

Workers in Osun State have expressed admiration towards the announcement by the state governor, Ademola Adeleke that his administration would start paying the sum of N75,000 as minimum wage.

They appreciated the governor by giving him a rousing welcome to his office on Monday and also declared that there is no vacancy in the Osun Government House come 2026 governorship election.

The workers who are members of the Nigerian Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress in the state, endorsed Adeleke for another term, describing him as “Talk and Do Governor.”

Led by their leaders, the unionists gathered at the appreciation rally organised for the Governor over the new minimum wage and the many other pro-labour policies and programmes of his administration, singing and dancing in thanksgiving to Adeleke.

The Head of Service, Elder Ayanleye Aina, the State Chairman of NLC, Comrade Abayomi Arapasopo and the State Chairman of the TUC, Comrade Bimbo Fasasi told the Governor and workers that the state workforce is overwhelmed by the passionate support of the Governor for the workers’ welfare since he assumed office.

Comrade Arapasopo said the records of the Governor on workers’ welfare is unrivaled and unprecedented in the history of Osun governance, declaring that Adeleke has made landmark achievements that touched the heartland minds of every Osun worker.

He said the workers are satisfied with Adeleke’s exceptional performance, saying the governor has performed not just for workers but across all sectors in Osun state.

In the same vein, the TUC State Chairman, Comrade Fasasi defined Adeleke as a pro-labour leader who has the unwavering support of the unions,

Governor Adeleke, in his response, expressed gratitude to the workforce for their open endorsement and approval of his performance in office, pledging to do more in service of workers and the people of the state.

He promised to continue to prioritize the welfare and well-being of workers.
