STANBICETF30 jumped 10 percent on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) on Wednesday leading gains among exchange-traded funds as several NGX-listed ETFs closed higher during the trading session.
The fund rose by N153.73 from N1,537.30 to N1,691.03, representing a 10 percent increase during the session.
STANBICETF30 recorded the largest absolute price increase among the ETFs reported for the day, extending its recent upward movement.
GREENWETF also advanced, rising by N45.99 from N804 to N849.99, representing an increase of approximately 5.72 percent.
VSPBONDETF gained N10.95 to close at N226.49, up from N215.54, representing an appreciation of about 5.08 percent.
VETGOODS increased by N2.92 from N46.02 to N48.94, equivalent to a gain of approximately 6.35 percent.
MERGROWTH recorded a more modest advance, gaining N1 from N127 to N128, representing an increase of approximately 0.79 percent.
The gains across the reported ETFs came as the broader Nigerian equities market maintained its upward momentum.
The NGX All-Share Index increased 0.23 percent to 251,191.02 points, from 250,614.66 points in the previous session.
Equity market capitalisation rose by approximately N374 billion to N163.06 trillion, extending the market’s advance.
Trading activity was also elevated, with investors exchanging 1.59 billion shares worth N45.82 billion in 49,836 deals.
Market volume increased by approximately 90 percent from the 837.26 million shares recorded in the previous session, although transaction value declined from N48.57 billion.
STANBICETF30’s 10 percent increase placed it at the forefront of Wednesday’s ETF price movements as GREENWETF, VSPBONDETF, VETGOODS and MERGROWTH also recorded gains.
