Juventus have identified Nigerian international Victor Osimhen as their top attacking target ahead of the 2025 summer transfer window, according to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 26-year-old forward, who remains under contract with Napoli, is expected to attract serious interest from the Turin-based club as they accelerate plans to reinforce their frontline under a new technical project.
Osimhen’s recent exploits on loan at Galatasaray have reinforced his market value across Europe. The striker recorded 37 goals in all competitions for the Turkish champions during the 2024/25 season, including 26 goals in the Süper Lig, where he claimed both the Golden Boot and Best Player awards.
His individual brilliance was further recognised when his overhead goal against Antalyaspor was awarded the Süper Lig Goal of the Season.
Despite being previously linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, Osimhen reportedly turned down a €30 million-per-year proposal from Al-Hilal, reiterating his preference to remain in European football.
Juventus are now aiming to capitalise on that decision, with sources indicating that the club has reinitiated contact with the striker’s representatives.
However, a key challenge remains. Osimhen’s current contract with Napoli contains a €75 million release clause that applies exclusively to clubs outside of Serie A.
As a domestic rival, Juventus will not be able to trigger the clause, meaning any potential transfer would require direct negotiation with Napoli. Given the complex dynamics and historical rivalry between the two clubs, a domestic deal may prove difficult.
Juventus’ renewed interest in Osimhen comes amid broader efforts to restructure their squad following a transitional season. The club is targeting high-impact players to strengthen key positions, and Osimhen is reportedly ranked ahead of alternative options such as Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres and Bologna’s Santiago Castro.
Osimhen previously spent two seasons in Serie A with Napoli before his loan switch to Turkey. His time at Galatasaray, where he helped the club secure a domestic double, has drawn attention from multiple top-tier European sides.
Juventus are understood to be optimistic but cautious in their pursuit, aware of the contractual and political sensitivities involved in doing business with a direct league competitor.
As the summer transfer window approaches, Juventus will be expected to make a formal approach should preliminary discussions with Osimhen’s camp prove productive.
The club’s ability to navigate around the non-Serie A clause restriction could determine whether the high-scoring forward makes a sensational return to Italy’s top flight under the black and white of the Bianconeri.
