American cloud-based typing assistant Grammarly has recently rolled out GrammarlyGo, a ChatGPT AI-powered tool, to enhance users writing.
With GrammarlyGO, users can draft documents, compose and reply to emails, clarify, edit writing for tone, and ideate concepts for a project within the apps that users are working on. The new feature also relies on personal, organizational, and situational context to tailor suggestions to users writing and communication styles. According to Grammarly, the generative AI system aims to accelerate productivity when users write.
Speaking on the recently launched GrammarlyGo feature, the company’s head of product Rahul Roy-Chowdhury said,
“For well over a decade, we’ve delivered the leading AI-enabled communication assistant focused on helping people and businesses overcome the real challenges they face every day.
“Now we enter a new phase in our vision to support our customers across all stages of communication, going past revision into conception and composition, all while maintaining our high standards of quality, privacy, and security. Generative AI represents an inflection point in innovation that Grammarly can incorporate to deliver even more value for our customers”.
According to an official announcement, the company disclosed that the GrammarlyGO AI will be available in beta to existing users in April this year. Users do not need to have a premium account before they can be able to use the feature.
All tiers including developers, business, education, and premium users can access the feature. Grammarly will also permit free accounts to use the AI-powered feature. GrammarlyGO is automatically activated but can be toggled off in the settings by users.
Founded in 2009 to help people communicate more effectively, it is interesting to note that Grammarly has used AI for almost 14 years to check spelling and grammar, and even suggest communication improvements, Investors King understands.
The company strives to help people achieve more through effective communication, whenever and wherever they write in English. Its AI-enabled communication assistance helps people feel confident when drafting a message and when pressing send.
With ChatGPT’s success that has proven that AI can be a powerful tool to generate text, summarize information and the like, a lot of tech companies are currently scrambling to integrate chatbot technology into their products and services. Tech companies such as Microsoft, Snapchat, Instacart, and now Grammarly have all announced the introduction of AI-powered ChatGPT into their product to enhance users’ experience.
