Equities Market Sheds N5 billion on Thursday as More Stocks Closed in the Red

Equities on the Nigerian Exchange Limited declined by N5 billion as more stocks closed in the red during the trading hours of Thursday.

Investors traded 205,450,099 shares valued at N2.732 billion in 3,563 transactions on Thursday, against 213,704,495 shares valued at N3.231 billion traded on Wednesday in 3,522 transactions.

The Nigerian Exchange Limited All-Share Index depreciated by 0.02 percent to 37,898.56 index points from 37,907.28 index points recorded on Wednesday.

Market value of listed equities declined by N5 billion from N19.760 trillion on Wednesday to N19.755 trillion on Thursday.

Tripple Gee and Company Plc led gainers with 10 percent appreciation. Followed by Ikeja Hotel with 9.77 percent, see the details below.
