Nigerian Stock Exchange Extends Bearish Trend on Tuesday

Stocks closed in the red in Nigeria on Tuesday to extend its decline to 38,704.97 index points.

Investors traded 410.386 million shares worth N5.985 billion in 3,937 transactions during the trading hours of Tuesday.

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index declined by 0.05 percent from 38,722.87 index points on Monday to 38,704.97 index points on Tuesday.

While the market value of listed stocks depreciated by N8 billion from N20.259 trillion on Monday to N20.251 trillion on Tuesday.

Dangote Sugar led the most traded stocks with 107,077,809 shares valued at N1,804,179,611.55. Followed by the Union Bank of Nigeria’s 78,541,593 shares estimated at N416,270,272.15.
