The Chief Medical Director, UCH, Jesse Otegbayo, has tested negative to COVID-19 in a repeat test, Toye Akinrinlola, PRO, UCH stated in a statement released on the teaching hospital official Facebook page.

Prof. Otegbayo had announced on Sunday that he tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday and advised all those who had contact with him to go on self-quarantine.

“However, his samples were taken again on Tuesday, 31st March 2020. Today at about 3.00 pm, the result came out negative,” the statement read.

Also, the repeat tests carried out on Pro. Oluwabunmi Olopa Olopade and the deputy provost, Prof Obafunke Denloye came back negative for both.

“The provost of the UI College of Medicine, Prof. Oluwabunmi Olopa Olopade and the deputy provost, Prof Obafunke Denloye have both tested Negative in a repeat test.”
