Lagos State Government has announced four more cases of coronavirus after reporting five cases on Wednesday.

The state government had ordered all schools in the state to be shut down effective from Monday, March 23, 2020 to contain the spread of the virus.

However, during an ongoing press conference, Prof Akin Abayomi, state Commissioner for Health, revealed that four new confirmed cases of the virus have been reported.

The virus has killed more than 9,000 people and infected over 200,000 people globally.

The fast-spreading coronavirus continues to weigh on business operations and activities across the world, forcing the Central Bank of Nigeria to deploy additional measures on Wednesday to support employment and stabilise the price. The apex bank announced a N1.1 trillion intervention fund on Wednesday to support the manufacturing and the health sector.
