- Coronavirus: Eight Additional Cases in South Africa
Coronavirus continues to spread across Sub-Saharan Africa after Kenya and Ethiopia reported their very first cases of the virus today.
In South Africa, the total number of infected people rose by 8 to 24, according to Zweli Mkhize, the nation’s Minister of Health.
According to Mkhize, all the new cases contracted the disease during trips to European nations.
“So far, all infected patients in the country have a history of trips to Europe.
“More suspected cases will be verified soon,’’ Mkhize said.
Meanwhile, Nigeria announced that the second case of the virus, a patient that was in contact with the index case, has been cleared and will be released any time soon.
