The self-acclaimed bureau de change operator, Ismaila Mustapha, popularly known as Mompha on social media, has been arrested by anti-graft operatives in Abuja, Nigeria.

In a report published by Premium Times, the socialite was arrested in connection with graft.

While the details of his arrest can not be established at the moment, he is presently being detained by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) in Lagos.

A spokesperson of the commission, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed Mompha has been taken into custody.

The Instagram billion with nearly 650,000 followers recently featured a yellow Ferrari and a 2020 Rolls Royce Wraith Eagle VIII he claimed to have acquired for N180 million.

Mompha has been previously arrested by the EFCC between late 2018 and early 2019, according to operatives he was released without charges.

However, the anti-graft kept monitoring the Mompha expensive lifestyle.

The EFCC, Interpol and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation have intensified efforts to curb internet fraud and other crimes linked to Nigerians.

It should be recalled that Invictus Obi was arrested in a similar fashion in the US in August in connection with over $12 million wire fraud.
