- Prime Minister Theresa May Arrives in Nigeria
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Theresa May has arrived in Nigeria as part of her visit to African nations.
The Prime Minister, who flew in from South Africa, quickly proceeded to the Presidential Villa for a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Nigeria is expected to sign defence and economic agreements with the UK during her visit.
Theresa May on Tuesday, during a speech in South Africa, described Nigeria as the home of the world’s poorest people.
May said 87 million Nigerians are living below $1.9 a day despite Nigeria’s natural resources.
