Previs Developments says it has introduced an initiative known as rent-to-own land for aspiring homeowners.

The Managing Director, Previs Developments, Peter Coker, said the firm introduced the product after it realised that funding problem had significantly hampered its clients from buying homes.

The Marketing and Communications Lead for the company, Tolulope Olorundero, said it was a product of strategic consumer studies and behavioural analysis.

She added, “Having studied our target market over the years, we realised that their aspirational desires require that they live within certain areas. They may be able to afford houses on the outskirts of town, but these upwardly mobile professionals and entrepreneurs have built a life in the city and want to remain there, hence, rent-to-own land.

“We currently have ongoing projects in New Magodo, Lekki and Ogudu. It is important to note that we are not land sellers. The land that is being sold is located in an estate with fully delivered infrastructure like roads with proper drainage system, water and electricity, as well as other housing units like terraced houses, maisonettes and semi-detached houses.”

The Projects Manager, Previs Developments, Tokunbo Adefuye, said with rent-to own land, subscribers could make pocket-friendly monthly or annual payments, usually spread over a specific number of years, to own land in very prime locations in Lagos.
