The management of Npower, NASIM has stated that beneficiaries who have not been paid their August stipend should provide their N-Power Identification Number and their NIN for possible resolution.

In a short statement released yesterday on the Twitter platform, NASIM noted that failed payments are likely a technical error from the bank.

NASIM added that affected beneficiaries should send the required information through any of its official social medial channels.

It would be recalled that a number of Npower beneficiaries have complained of not being paid their August stipend despite showing otherwise on their NASIM dashboards.

Many of the affected beneficiaries have taken to social media platforms to share their experience and look for possible solutions.

A beneficiary with the name Adamu Umaru Salihu wrote “I didn’t receive my August Stipend, my payroll shows me pending on my dashboard”.

Another beneficiary with the name Royal Kindness stated that she has not received her August stipend while other beneficiaries using the same bank as her have received theirs.

Investors King understands that the August stipend is the last payment for N-Power batch C, Stream 2 beneficiaries as they transit to the next phase which is “Work Nation”.

Work Nation is an exit programme for N-Power beneficiaries where they are further trained and connected to job opportunities across the globe.

Investors King had earlier reported how to register for the Work Nation program and prepare for the eligibility test.

Meanwhile, NASIM has clarified that beneficiaries who have hitherto received double payments in July or any months before August will not be paid for the August stipend.

The clarification became necessary as the number of failed August stipends began to pile up.

NASIM thereafter added that all legitimate failed payments will be rectified as its technical team is working to resolve all backlog.

It is understood that Npower is one of the government’s social intervention programmes to address youth unemployment in Nigeria.

Established in 2016, it is designed to engage millions of youth in several segments which include N-teach, N-build, N-Agro, N-health, and N-creative.
