Zenith Bank, Geregu, GTCO and others were the most traded equities on Monday as the Nigerian stock market closed flat.

Investors traded 103,266,202 shares worth N2.139 billion in 3,206 deals during the trading hours of Monday with Zenith Bank emerging as the most traded equity with investors transacting 15,126,250 shares estimated at N301,365804.10. Geregu Power Plant followed with 11099788 shares worth N1,202,613,452.80.

Sectorial analysis showed that the banking sector closed with 48 basis points (bps) gain despite Unity Bank and Fidelity Bank closing the day in the red.

The industrial sector appreciated by 1 bps on a 6.83% gain in Cutix. Consumer goods and oil and gas sectors lost 4bps and 74bps, respectively.

The market value of listed equities stood at N24.112 trillion, a N10 billion decline from N24.122 trillion it closed on Friday. The Nigerian Exchange All-Share Index closed flat at 44,269.43 index points. See other details below.
