Thomas Etuh Resigns As Chairman, Veritas Kapital Assurance

Following the presentation and acceptance of the board at its182nd meeting, Mr. Thomas Etuh has officially resigned as the Chairman and member of the Board of directors, Veritas Kapital Assurance Plc.

Following his resignation, Mr. Nahim Abe Ibraheem (Non-Executive Director) was appointed as the Chairman, Board of Directors of the Company.

While extolling his good virtues, the Secretary/Legal Adviser, Saratu Umar Garba, on behalf of the Board and Management of the company, noted that the insight, strong and passionate leadership exhibited by Mr. Thomas Etuh will be missed.

In the same vein, The Board and Management congratulated the new Chairman, Mr. Nahim Abe Ibraheem on his appointment, who they described as someone who is strategic and committed to the success of the company.

Investors King gathered that Mr. Ibraheem holds a B.A History from the University of Lagos, obtained in the year 1989. He joined Orbit Communications as a manager in 1990, after which in 1995 he established Soveran Nigeria Limited a specialty procurement and petroleum product Distribution Company based in Lagos, a company he currently chairs.

He is also the Chief Executive of Euronat Nigeria Limited, a major indigenous oil product exporting company with principal products such as crude oil, condensate and fuel oil through the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and Nigeria LNG.

He has over 25 years of cognitive experience in various fields of business ranging from the finance, upstream and downstream oil trade sector, as well as procurement and manufacturing.

He has also represented V.Ships Monaco S.A, the largest ship management company in the world in Nigeria and was part of the team that provided ship management and manpower services to the Shell Bonga, Caverton Marine and Nigeria LNG.

As a country adviser for Africa Merchant Bank (A Banque Belgolaise S.A/Fortis Bank Group Subsidiary) from 2000-2006, he was part of the financial advisers and co- financial arrangers for the funding of Obajana Cement Project for the Dangote Group of Nigeria.

He has also been a mandated adviser for Société Générale Bank France in Nigeria and currently sits on the boards of Morris Nigeria Limited and Super-phosphate Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited, Veritas Glanvills Pensions Limited and Lighthouse Capital Limited.
