Nigerian Exchange Limited Gains 0.4 Percent After Weeks of Decline

The Nigerian Exchange Limited rebounded slightly on Thursday after weeks of bearish trends and broad-selloff.

Investors traded 167.407 million shares valued at 1.829 billion in 3,256 transactions during the trading hours of Thursday.

The Nigerian Exchange Limited All-Share Index gained 0.40 percent to close at 37,954.35 index points while the market value of listed equities rose slightly to N19.781 trillion.

Port Paint led gainers with 10 percent or N0.24 to close at N2.64 per share. This was trailed by Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc with a 10 percent or N0.04 gain.
