MTN Nigeria, a leading telecommunications company in Nigeria and Africa, proposed a final dividend of N5.90 kobo per 2 kobo ordinary share for the financial year ended 31 December 2020.
If approved, the company’s total dividend for the year will be N9.40 kobo.
The telecom giant said the amount will be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at the close of business on May 4, 2021.
Dividends will be paid on June 8, 2021 to all the shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as at May 4, 2021 and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the registrar pay to their dividends directly into their Bank accounts.
However, shareholders who are yet to complete the e-dividend registration are advised to download the Registrar’s E-dividend Mandate Activation Form, complete and submit to the Registrar or their respective Banks.
MTN Nigeria’s annual general meeting will be held on Monday, June 7th 2021.
In its unaudited financial statements released for the first quarter of 2021, MTN’s subscribers declined by 5 million to 71.5 million. While profit before tax grew to N102.9 billion.
