Nigerian Stock Exchange Opens the Year With N356 Billion Gain

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) extended the 2020 gain by another N356 billion on Monday

Within the first four trading hours of Monday, the NSE All-Share Index rose by 1.69 percent to 40,951.60 index points while the market value of the Exchange expanded by N356 billion from N21.057 trillion it closed in 2020 to N21.413 trillion during the early hours of Monday.

So far, investors have traded 21.188 million shares valued at N117.174 million in 925 transactions in four hours.

Bua Cement led top gainers with N7.65 or 9.89 percent gain during the hours under review. See the details below.
