Airtel Africa, BUA Cement, Others Gain Despite Stock Market Closing in Red

Nigerian Exchange Limited - Investors King

The Nigerian Stock Exchange shed some of the gains made last week on Monday despite Airtel Africa, BUA Cement and others closing in the green.

The NSE All-Share Index lost 0.75 percent or 263.38 index points from 35,037.46 index points it closed on Friday to settle at 34,774.08 index points on Monday.

While the market capitalisation of listed equities depreciated by N137 billion from N18.308 trillion on Friday to N18.171 trillion on Monday.

Investors traded 668.531 million shares valued at N7.849 billion in 10,319 transactions during the trading hours of Monday.

Zenith Bank once again led the most traded equities with 94.034 million shares worth N2.509 billion. This was followed by Transcorp’s 75.481 million shares estimated at N82.990 million. See the details below.
