Blakeney LLP Sells 40m Shares in UACN

The UAC of Nigeria Plc has disclosed an insider dealing of 40 million shares sold by one of the company’s substantial shareholders.

In a statement signed by Godwin Samuel, Secretary and Legal Adviser, UACN, and released through the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), the company said Blakeney LLP, a substantial shareholder of the company, sold 40,000,000 shares of UAC of Nigeria Plc.

The transaction which took place on June 17, 2020 at the Nigerian Stock Exchange in Lagos, Nigeria was done at N7.00 per share.

The disclosure is in line with The Exchange’s new policy that listed companies henceforth have to disclose all insider dealings to the general public.

Earlier today, Investors King reported Herbert Wigwe insider dealing of 7.532 million shares in the last two weeks.

Other listed companies like, WAPIC Insurance Plc also disclosed 848,920 shares purchased at 33 kobo by United Alliance Company of Nigeria Limited, a company that has an indirect relationship with former Board Chairman of Wapic.
