Seplat Energy Plc has fixed an exchange rate of N1,360.58 to the United States dollar for converting its second-quarter 2026 interim and special dividends into naira.
The energy company announced the rate on Thursday, August 13, 2026, for shareholders who elected to receive their dividend payments in Nigerian currency.
According to Seplat Energy, the conversion rate was based on the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market rate published by the Central Bank of Nigeria on August 12, 2026.
The company said both its Q2 2026 interim dividend and special dividend would be converted at US$1 to N1,360.58 for eligible shareholders receiving their payments in naira.
The announcement provides certainty for investors following Seplat Energy’s July 30 dividend declaration, particularly shareholders whose payments require conversion from the company’s dollar-denominated dividend into local currency.
Seplat Energy said shareholders should refer to its earlier announcement of July 30 for details concerning the default currencies applicable to dividend payments.
The dual-listed energy company trades on the Nigerian Exchange Limited under the ticker SEPLAT and on the London Stock Exchange under SEPL.
Seplat Energy operates a diversified portfolio of oil and gas assets across Nigeria, including 11 Petroleum Mining Leases, 17 Petroleum Prospecting Licences and five Oil Mining Leases.
Its operations also include interests in the Qua Iboe export terminal, Yoho Floating Storage and Offloading facility and Bonny River Terminal, alongside gas processing facilities at Oben, Sapele and the 300 million standard cubic feet per day ANOH Gas Processing Plant.
The company remains one of the major suppliers of natural gas to Nigeria’s domestic power generation industry.
