Access Holdings Insider Sales Hit 5.55 Million Shares

According to regulatory filings submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Limited on May 18, 2026, Olusegun Ogbonnewo sold a total of 1.55 million ordinary shares in the financial institution on May 14, 2026.

The disclosure showed that 369,049 shares were sold at N25.35 per share while an additional 1,180,951 shares were disposed of at N25.40 per share, bringing the aggregate transaction to 1.55 million shares at an average price of N25.38 per share.

Based on the disclosed pricing, the transaction was valued at approximately N39.3 million.

In a separate filing, Moses Ejike Osondu, a staff member of Access Bank Plc, a subsidiary of Access Holdings, sold 4 million ordinary shares in the group.

The transaction involved the sale of 2 million shares at N24.00 per share and another 2 million shares at N23.85 per share, representing a combined average price of N23.93 per share.

The total value of the second transaction was estimated at about N95.7 million.

Combined, the two insider transactions amounted to 5.55 million shares worth approximately N135 million.

The disclosures come amid continued investor attention on insider activities across Nigerian banking stocks as market participants assess management sentiment, profit-taking activities and institutional positioning following recent rallies in the banking sector.

Under Nigerian Exchange rules, directors, executives and other insiders are required to notify the market of dealings in the shares of listed companies to promote transparency and strengthen investor confidence.
