Femi Otedola Acquires Over 64 Million Shares in First HoldCo, Raises Stake Above 6.7 Billion Units

First HoldCo Plc has notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited of two significant insider transactions involving its Chairman, Mr. Olufemi Otedola, CON, and his related company, Calvados Global Services Limited.

According to the separate filings dated September 24, 2025, Mr. Otedola directly purchased 39,313,379 ordinary shares of First HoldCo Plc at ₦31 per share, amounting to approximately ₦1.22 billion.

In addition, Calvados Global Services Limited, a company connected to Mr. Otedola, acquired 25,565,289 ordinary shares at the same price of ₦31 per share, representing a transaction value of about ₦792.5 million.

Combined, the two transactions total 64,878,668 shares valued at more than ₦2.01 billion, further consolidating Mr. Otedola’s position as a significant shareholder in First HoldCo.

Updated Shareholding Structure

As of June 30, 2025, Otedola’s holdings in First HoldCo Plc stood at:

  • Direct: 3,212,032,866 shares (7.67%)

  • Indirect: 3,465,560,297 shares (8.28%)

This amounted to 6,677,593,163 shares before the latest acquisitions.

Following the additional 39,313,379 direct shares and 25,565,289 indirect shares purchased on September 23, 2025, Otedola’s updated stake now stands at:

  • Direct: 3,251,346,245 shares

  • Indirect: 3,491,125,586 shares

  • Total: 6,742,471,831 shares

With this new total, Otedola further cements his influence in First HoldCo Plc, where he serves as Chairman.
