Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) PLC has secured a full ground handling contract with Air Algeria in a strategic expansion of its international service portfolio.

The agreement covers the provision of aviation ground handling services for Air Algeria’s scheduled flights between Abuja and Algiers operating twice weekly.

The contract awarded to SAHCO includes ramp handling baggage and cargo services, passenger support aircraft cleaning and other essential ground operations.

According to the company, the new partnership reflects SAHCO’s operational readiness and commitment to delivering high quality aviation support in line with international standards.

SAHCO’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Adenike Aboderin, stated that the deal represents growing confidence in the company’s capabilities within the African aviation market.

She affirmed SAHCO’s commitment to providing safe, timely and efficient ground services for all aircraft operations managed under the agreement.

Air Algeria is the national carrier of Algeria and operates scheduled flights to destinations across Europe, North America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

The airline is fully owned by the Algerian government and continues to strengthen its regional presence through operational collaborations such as this.

The partnership comes as SAHCO continues to expand its presence across West and Central Africa by aligning with regional and global carriers operating in and out of Nigerian airports.

The company has consistently invested in ground handling equipment safety systems and personnel training to meet the growing demands of international aviation partners.

At Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, SAHCO will be responsible for managing ground operations from the moment Air Algeria aircraft land to the time of departure.

This includes facilitating passenger movement, supporting cargo logistics and ensuring on-time departures through structured ramp and technical services.

SAHCO has positioned itself as a key player in Nigeria’s aviation handling industry by focusing on operational excellence and strategic partnerships.

The company continues to support both domestic and international airlines with integrated solutions aimed at improving turnaround time and flight safety.
