First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has informed customers of a temporary disruption affecting its debit card services.
The bank disclosed the development in a communication sent to customers, citing ongoing technical issues as the cause of the service downtime.
In the notice, FCMB confirmed that its technical teams are actively working to restore normal debit card transaction capabilities.
The lender, however, did not specify the timeline for full service restoration but assured customers of prompt notification once the issue is resolved.
“We apologise for any inconvenience and will inform you as soon as the service becomes available,” FCMB stated.
Despite the disruption, the bank explained that alternative transaction channels remain fully operational.
Customers can continue to access services through the bank’s USSD code (*329#), FCMB Mobile App, and the FCMBOnline platform.
The interruption comes amid increased customer reliance on electronic banking channels for day-to-day transactions.
FCMB assured users of its commitment to resolving the situation and maintaining service quality across all platforms.
