Nigerian Breweries Plc Successfully Lists 20.7 Billion Ordinary Shares Following Rights Issue

Following a successful rights issue, Nigerian Breweries Plc has announced the listing of 20,706,894,542 additional ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each on the Daily Official List of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).

This development follows the company’s recently concluded Rights Issue.

A total of 22,607,491,232 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each were offered at ₦26.50 per share, out of which 20,706,894,542 shares were acquired.

The acquired shares were listed on the NGX on December 30, 2024, to enhance Nigerian Breweries’ market liquidity.

With the new shares, Nigerian Breweries’ total outstanding shares have increased from 10,276,132,378 to 30,983,026,920 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each.

Uaboi G. Agbebaku, FCIS, Company Secretary of Nigerian Breweries Plc, disclosed this in a statement released on Monday via the Nigerian Exchange Limited’s website.

The newly listed shares will bolster Nigerian Breweries’ liquidity and enhance the company’s ability to deliver value to shareholders while contributing significantly to the Nigerian economy.
