Transpower, Transcorp, FBNH Lead Gainers as Nigerian Exchange Closed in Green

The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) closed in the green on Wednesday as the stocks of Transcorp Power Plc, Transnational Corporation and FBN Holdings Plc led gainers with a 9.9% gain each.

Investors transacted shares 416,477,831 worth N19.508 billion in 9,338 transactions during the trading hours of Wednesday.

The NGX All-Share Index expanded by 0.40% to 99,591.64 index points while market capitalisation appreciated to N56.310 trillion.

The renewed interest in the exchange was on the back of the newly listed company, the Transcorp Power Plc, that was listed on Monday.

Transcorp Power Plc has remained bullish since listed and presently trading at N319.4 a share, up from N240 it was listed on Monday.
