The management of the Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) has announced that beneficiaries of the Npower Batch C program who participated in the recent account validation exercise will receive their backlog payments once subsequent re-initiated account validation exercise ends.

This announcement was made by sources within the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development who disclosed that the successful account validation does not guarantee immediate payment of the beneficiaries’ stipends.

According to the source, “In line with that, Npower management has advised beneficiaries to please wait patiently for their payment haven successfully validated their accounts.”

It can be recalled that the Federal Government had earlier announced that the account validation exercise was necessary for the payment of the beneficiaries’ stipends. The exercise was aimed at verifying the authenticity of the account details submitted by the beneficiaries during their registration.

The validation exercise was successfully carried out, and beneficiaries were advised to wait patiently for the payment of their stipends.

However, the management of NASIMS has assured beneficiaries that their backlog payment will be made once the subsequent re-initiated account validation exercise is concluded. The beneficiaries are urged to remain patient while the exercise lasts.

This development is in line with the Federal Government’s commitment to empowering Nigerian youths and reducing unemployment in the country.

The Npower program is aimed at providing Nigerian youths with the necessary skills and tools to become self-employed and productive members of society.
