NGX Index Closes Marginally Lower

The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) closed slightly lower on Wednesday following a 0.11 percent gain on Tuesday.

Investors traded 132,077,093 shares worth N2.674 billion in 3,307 transactions during the trading hours of Wednesday, against 110,770,650 shares valued at N3.084 billion in 3,305 deals on Tuesday.

NGX All-Share Index depreciated 0.01 percent to 39,545.67 index points on Wednesday, down from 39,550.36 index points recorded on Tuesday. While the market value of listed equities declined by N2 billlion from N20.606 trillion posted on Tuesday to N20.604 trillion on Wednesday.

Pharma-Deko Plc led gainer with N0.13 or 10 percent to settle at N1.43 per share. While the newly acquired BOC Gases Nigeria Plc followed with N0.90 or 9.78 percent to close N10.10 a share. See the details below.
