The Nigerian Exchange Limited closed in the red on Thursday as more stocks dipped than the total number of equities that gained.
Investors exchanged 238,243,780 shares worth N2.583 billion in 3,927 transactions during the trading hours of Thursday, against 296,098,560 shares valued at N2.562 billion that traded in 4,507 transactions on Wednesday.
The market value of listed equities declined by N27 billion to N20.043 trillion, down from N20.070 trillion on Wednesday.
While the Nigerian Exchange Limited All-Share Index dipped by 0.08 percent from 38501.31 index points on Wednesday to 38469.87 index points on Thursday.
NEM Insurance Plc led gainers with N0.20 or 10 percent gain to settle at N2.20 per share. This was trailed by Courteville Business Solutions Plc’s N0.02 or 9.52 percent increase to N0.23 a unit. See the tables below for further details.
Fidelity Bank has remained in the top five most traded stocks in the last seven days as investors remained fixed on the stocks of the tier II bank.
