UBA Proposes N0.35 Final Dividend for Every Ordinary Share of 50 Kobo Each

The board of directors of United Bank for Africa Plc has proposed a final dividend of N0.35 for every ordinary share of 50 kobo each following a declaration of N157 billion profit for 2020 financial year.

In a statement signed by Bili A. Odum, Group Company Secretary, UBA and seen by Investors King, the leading bank said the amount declared is subject to applicable withholding tax and will be paid to only shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at the close of business on Friday, March 19, 2021.

UBA Register of Members will be closed from Monday, March 22, 2021 to Friday, March 26, 2021 to enable the Registrars prepare for payment of the final dividend.

The qualification date remained March 19, 2021. While final dividend will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as at close of business on Friday, March 19, 2021 and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts.

However, those who are yet to register can do so by completing the e-dividend registration for available at http://www.africaprudential.com, complete and scan to cfc@africaprudential.com or investorrelations@ubagroup.com.
