United Capital Declares N4.2 billion Final Dividend for 2020

United Capital Plc announced a dividend of N4.2 billion for the financial year ended December 31, 2020 after an impressive 57 percent increase in profit after tax to N7.81 billion.

In the corporate actions announcement released through the Nigerian Stock Exchange, the company said it will pay N4.2 billion per 70 kobo ordinary share, subject to appropriate withholding tax and approval.

The amount will be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at the close of business on March 5, 2021.

On the closure of register, the company said the Register of Shareholders will be closed from March 8, 2021 to March 15, 2021 (both dates inclusive).

The qualification date was set at March 5, 2021.

United Capital added that On March 26, 2020, dividends will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as of March 5, 2021, and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts.

However, Shareholders who are yet to complete the e-dividend registration are advised to download the Registrar’s E-Dividend Mandate Activation Form, which is available at https://africaprudential.com/wpcontent/uploads/2018/01/EDMMS-Form_120118.pdf, complete and submit to the Registrar or their respective Banks.
