Tony Elumelu Purchases 62,643,500 UBA Shares

United Bank for Africa Plc on Monday announced that Tony O. Elumelu, Chairman, UBA, and Heirs Holding Limited, purchased 62,643,500 ordinary shares of United Bank for Africa Plc.

In a statement signed by Bila Odum, Company Secretary, UBA, and released on the Nigerian Stock Exchange’s website, the lender said Mr. Elumelu purchased the shares from the Nigerian Stock Exchange in Lagos on Monday.

A break down of the statement showed Mr. Elumelu bought 400,000 shares at N6.15 per share while another 2,000,000 shares were purchased at N6.20 per share. The remaining 60,243,500 shares were acquired at N6.25 a unit. Bringing aggregate price to N6.20 per single share.
