The Federal Government through the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday reached out to South African-American billionaire and founder of Tesla, Elon Musk after he tweeted that his organisation has extra FDA approved ventilators.

He said “We have extra FDA- approved ventilators. Will ship to hospitals worldwide within tesla delivery regions. Device and shipping cost are free. Only requirement is that the vents are needed immediately for patients, not stored in a warehouse. please me or Tesla know.”

ventilatorThe Nigerian Ministry of Finance & Budget immediately responded that the nation needs assistance with 100 to 500 ventilators to better manage the rising number of confirmed cases in Africa’s largest economy.

“Dear Elon Tesla, Federal Govt of Nigeria needs support of 100-500 ventilators to assist with Covid cases arising every day in Nigeria,” the ministry of Finance & Budget tweeted in response.
