- Fidelity Bank to Halt Operations in Lagos, FCT, Ogun today
Due to the rising number of confirmed cases in Lagos, Abuja and Ogun States, the management of Fidelity Bank on Sunday announced that it will halt operations in those three states for 14 days starting from Today, March 31, 2020.
The lender, however, assured customers across those three key states that its online banking channels would remain operational during the 14 days period.
In an email to customers, the bank said “Please be informed that all our branches in FCT, Lagos and Ogun states will operate extended hours on Monday, March 30, 2020, from 8 am to 6 pm.
“Our branches in these three states will be closed from Tuesday, March 31, 2020, to Monday, April 13, 2020, in observation of the 14 days lockdown directive issued by the Federal Government to curb the spread of coronavirus.
“As always, our digital channels are available 24/7. Please make use of them for your transactions.”
The bank added that the order would not affect petroleum distribution firms, security firms, print, and electronic media employees.
Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed cases rose to 135 on Tuesday, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
