Billionaire Femi Otedola, the former Chairman of Forte Oil and one of the richest people in Nigeria, Friday announced that he would be donating N1 billion to support Federal Government’s efforts at combating coronavirus.

In a message published on his official Instagram page, the billionaire said: “I will be contributing 1 billion Naira towards the eradication of COVID-19 across Nigeria.”

Dangote, Rabiu, Atiku and other top industrialists have donated funds, medical supplies and equipment necessary to bring the coronavirus pandemic to its knee in Nigeria.

Also, it is important to note that this may not be the billionaire’s first support as the President earlier today commended him for his contribution to the fight against this deadly virus.
