Osagie Ehanire, the Minister of Health, has confirmed the second case of coronavirus in Africa’s largest population, Nigeria.

In the report, the victim was one of the people that had contact with the now recovering Italian man that brought the virus to Nigeria.

The victim, according to a series of tweets from NCDC, was one of those already under isolation and monitoring, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control stated in a tweet.

“This second case is a contact of the index case, in Ogun State.

“The new case has been in isolation and was tested as part of our strategy to test all contacts of the index case.”
