  • Airtel Africa to Now List on July 9 – NSE

Following the postponement of the listing of Airtel Africa on Friday, the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) said the company is now scheduled to list on Tuesday, July 9th, 2019.

Responding to speculative reports that the telecommunication giant will be listed today, Monday, the bourse said the listing was postponed last week Friday because the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission didn’t approve the listing due to uncompleted procedural processes.

Oscar Onyema, the CEO of the NSE, said: “We need to have all the pieces of information together, there are processes at the back end that need to happen before we can list and trade.”

Raghunath Mandava, the Chief Executive Officer, Airtel Africa, who initially said on Friday that the company would be listed by the close of business, now said the company is expected to list on Tuesday once the processes are completed.
