- Glazers Says No to Pogba’s £130m Real Move
The owners of Manchester United have said the club midfielder Paul Pogba is not for sale despite Real Madrid reportedly moving to offer the United Kingdom club £130 million for the player.
Pogba, 26, hinted about taking on new challenge elsewhere while speaking to reporters in Japan during his post-season Asian tour.
The comment sparked global debate on Twitter, with experts saying both Real Madrid and Juventus are desperate to land the World Cup winner in their team.
However, Marca has said the owners of Manchester United, the Glazer family, are not interested in parting with the footballer.
This, he said has been communicated to agent Mino Raiola (Pogba’s agent) after a report that the midfielder is ready to force the move by embarking on strike.
Real Madrid head coach, Zinedine Zidane, is building a new team after a series of setbacks in the just-concluded season.
Real Madrid current has aging Luka Modric and struggling Toni Kroos in the midfield, while a replacement is necessary some experts doubt Pogba is the man.
