The newly reappointed Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, visited President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday.

The embattled governor, who was recently linked to an audio suggesting him and certain people were trying to cover up N500 billion, was all smiles as he met with the president in Abuja today.

An online news platform, Sahara Reporters, had released an audio claiming the newly reappointed governor and few other people were panicking and looking for a way to cover up N500 billion.

The governor has since denied any knowledge of the audio. We can, however, confirm that President Buhari congratulated Mr Emefiele on his reappointment as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria for another five years.
