The Nigerian listed equities opened the week on a negative note after declining by N291.5 billion last week.

The All-Share Index declined by 0.06 per cent to close at 31,125.39 basis points.

Market year-to-date return stood at -0.97 per cent, down from -0.92 per cent recorded last week.

The equities market closed in the red as only 10 stocks emerged gainers against 20 losers, still an improved performance when compared with the previous outlook.

Market turnover closes negative as volume traded dipped by 1.86 per cent as against 18.01 per cent uptick recorded in the previous session.
