Guinness Nigeria Plc has declared a dividend of N4.03 billion. This follows the approval by the company’s shareholders at its 68th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Abuja yesterday.

The dividend declared translates to a payout of 184 kobo gross per share to the shareholders.

The 2018 financial year, showed impressive growth as it recorded a 31 per cent improvement in operating profit from N102 billion to N13.4 billion; revenue increased by 14 per cent from N125.92 billion in June 2017 to N142.98 billion, while Profit After Tax (PAT) improved significantly by 249 per cent to N6.7billion for the year ended 30th June 2018 compared to N1.9billion reported for the year ended June 30 last year.

Addressing shareholders at the AGM, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Babatunde Savage said the brewery giant has again demonstrated business resilience. He asserted that the company’s performance showed its commitment to grant shareholders returns on their investments.
