SpaceX launched the second largest communications satellite, Telstar 18 Vantage, into geostationary transfer orbit on Monday.

SpaceX Falcon 9 lifted off from the Cape Canaveral in Florida at 12:45 am and took about 32 minutes to complete its mission. Its second mission in two months for Telesat Canada.

Telstar 18V is the latest spacecraft to be launched as Telesat Canada upgrades its fleet of geostationary communications satellites.

Telstar 18V will be operated by both Telesat and Hong-Kong based APT Satellite Company.
