The Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Delta State, Mrs Mary AwhotoIyasere has said that her ministry will host over 100 foreign investors.

A statement by the ministry said the investors were expected to take part in the Delta State 2018 investment summit/product exhibition as a prelude to the upcoming State Trade Fair November, 2018.

According to the commissioner, the state government is ready to embrace the foreign investors, as well as the local investors expected at the investment summit, by providing a favourable environment for the rapid establishment of new industries that would create tens of thousands of jobs for the indigenes of the state.

It noted that the summit, largely a private sector initiative, would be attended by diplomats, captains of industries, manufacturers, investors and other important dignitaries both in the public and private sectors of the economy.

She further stated that the investment summit/product exhibition was being organised by the Delta State Ministry of Commerce and Industry in conjunction, with Delta State Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Vega Nigeria Limited and Maxiyield Asset Management Limited.
