  • Govt Alone Cannot Solve Nigeria’s Housing Problem – Homeplan

Real estate development firm, Homeplan Holdings, has said the problem of housing in the country cannot be solved by the government alone.

The firm stated that individuals and private sector intervention in providing mass and affordable housing that would cater for the needs of all Nigerians without jeopardising quality and standard was the way forward.

During the unveiling of its Homeplan Estate in Abuja recently, the Project Director of the firm, Babatunde Keshinro, was quoted to have said that to bridge the country’s housing gap, building construction required innovation, competence and expertise.

“As a real estate and construction firm with experience in building construction spanning eight years, Homeplan Holdings has come up with a new project called, Homeplan Estate. These are off plan sale of two-bedroom semi-detached bungalows with an opportunity to pay by installments over 18 months,” he said.

According to him, the estate, located in Kuje, about 10 minutes’ drive from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, is the finest in classy living, nestled amidst greenery, yet close to comfort and convenience.

“This estate is designed with plush amenities to match exclusive taste and global lifestyle such as green area, tennis court, gym centre, good roads, children play area etc. Part of the infrastructure that our subscribers will enjoy are constant electricity, treated water supply, interlocking road networks, street light and illumination, underground cable installations, drainage system, perimeter fencing and good security network,” he added.
