  • PAN Holds Fair, Begins Genuine Spare Parts Campaign

PAN Nigeria Limited, the assemblers of Peugeot brand of vehicles in Nigeria, says it has commenced a national campaign for genuine spare parts for its vehicles to improve safety on the nation’s roads and ensure that people derive maximum comfort driving/riding on Peugeot vehicles.

This was disclosed by the firm at its maiden spare parts fair held on iits premises in Kaduna.

The event was attended by a large number of Peugeot enthusiasts, spare parts dealers, officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps, members of Kaduna State Chambers of Trade and Commerce and other relevant stakeholders, PAN said in a statement on Tuesday.

The Managing Director, Pan Nigeria Limited, Ibrahim Boyi, while addressing the visitors at the opening ceremony, said the auto firm was particularly committed to its support for its customers through its after-sale service where every Peugeot vehicle on the road would be backed up with complete spare parts coming with warranty.

According to the statement, this is a campaign to dislodge fake and substandard spare parts market with regimental price control to ensure lowest cost of vehicle ownership.

Boyi described the fair as an expo of PAN hidden treasures of over 6,000 spare parts, ranging from the classic 504 brand new engine to the latest Peugeot 3008 that had won over 40 global awards.

The General Manager, Sales and Strategy, Bawo Omagbitse, said the fair was a national campaign for pervasive use of genuine spare parts, a push for national acceptability of originality and drive for standardisation of trade practices from PAN’s perspective.

The Kaduna Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Galadanchi, commended the organisers, stating that it was first of its kind in his over 20 years’ experience at the commission.

He said it was “work for humanity” considering the number of lives lost annually on Nigerian roads due to fake and tokunbo parts and urged Nigerians to buy genuine parts from accredited dealers to save lives.
