Aviation Agencies, Others Set for Tourism Transport Summit

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, Accident Investigations Bureau, the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology and the Nigerian Meteorological Agency will join over 800 national and international participants from tourism and transportation industry at this year’s edition of the Tourism Transport Summit 2018 to discuss strategies for achieving sustainable growth for the industry.

The annual summit will hold in Abuja between April 30th and May 1st, with the theme ‘Tourism and Transportation: The key sectors for sustainable resilient growth and development’ and several sub-themes with sessions on tourism transport training, Exhibition-Business to Business and Government to Business, tourism transport ambassadors award and a gala night.

According to the organisers, the event offers a unique opportunity to meet with regulators, decision makers, influencers and investors to showcase and market their services to more than 1,000 relevant and highly-engaged delegates from aviation, maritime, railways, airport operations, road transportation, national and international travel, aviation, and mass transportation organisations, including operators in the tourism and hospitality value chain.

The organisers added that the summit had received endorsements and confirmed participation from all the aviation agencies, and commended the efforts of the Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika, for his efforts towards repositioning the sector.
